Helping Yourself While Helping Others

You’re voluntering to help people who
want to take control of their lives

Our learners have often kept their life skills a secret - embarrassed and ashamed
to seek help. Tier bravery in coming to WQLC means that you can help spark
the transformation in their lives.

Benefits of Volunteering

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding things you can do. And thinking about how you want to benefit from volunteering is a good start to finding an opportunity that's right for you.

Gain confidence.

Volunteering can help you gain confidence by giving you the chance to try something new and build a real sense of achievement. Make a difference. Volunteering can have a real and valuable positive effect on people, communities and society in general.

See what People Say

One lady worked with me for a year or so.  She was a single mom in her 40’s and had not had a job for many years. Her son wanted a driver’s license which she could not afford. After learning how to do resumes and being inspired by her son’s need, she has acquired a steady job and has been working for several years now.
